Personalization is everything

We believe that weddings should be an expression of your personalities; it’s the party of all parties!  So, why don’t couples put as much thought into the return gifts as they do their decor or invitations?

Return gifts are the last impression

There are all sorts of things that you can gift as a party favor or return gift.  We’ve seen chocolates, candies, cupcakes, and even wine bottles! The possibilities are essentially endless.

However, the most important thing to keep in mind when deciding on what to give your guests as a return gift, is to make it personal. The point of gifting favors is to thank them for coming out to your event in support of your new lives together. The entire wedding experience is all about the two of you and who you are as a couple. That shouldn’t end with the reception decor “wow” factor or the entertaining dance program.  Keeping the memory of your wedding alive in your guests’ minds and thanking them for being a part of this experience is what party favors are all about.

By incorporating your personalities and the vibe you intend to create on wedding day into your return gifts, you ensure that the last impression your guests take home with them after it’s all over will be a memorable one. Thinking about the details and about what your guests would enjoy is what touches their hearts and keeps them talking about your wedding for years to come.

Some couples are choosing to hire caricature artists or have photo booths for their guests can have pictures/drawings from the day to take home.

There are a million options to pick from, so take some time to really find something that expresses your personality as a couple.  Whatever it is, it does not have to blow your budget. There are many cost effective and unique items to choose from, so find something that fits your style and budget.

Here are just a few awesome return gifts other couples have done. We hope these inspire ideas for your unique wedding day.

Food for thought

If you’re considering food as a favor – it must be something that you LOVE… otherwise, don’t do it.

Chocolates. The wedding consultants at Design did a wedding a few years ago for a couple in Boston and one of their favorite spots to satisfy their sweet tooth was Burdick’s Chocolates.  So, they gave guests these cute little chocolate mice as party favors.  Shena was not the biggest fan at first, however, they turned out to be adorable and absolutely delicious 🙂

Wine bottles are another option. Many couples have offered wine or liquor with a personalized label for their guests.  Quick disclaimer – check with your venue to see if it’s allowed, some states have rules that prevent alcohol being left out on tables.

Photo booths are a great way for guests to recollect the day. Plus, they’ll post their pics online and keep prints up on the fridge for years to come!
