Week 10 | 10-12 months prior to wedding day

Hello Beautiful!

Finding the right décor team is about design AND execution.  By now you should have narrowed down save-the-date announcement designs and started your gift/experience registry.

Next, is the one element that tends to visually illustrate your personalities throughout every aspect of your wedding day…décor.

Decor color and theme

Let’s begin.

Selecting every specific element of decor will require knowing the venue space you have to work with.

Regardless of the venue though, the major drivers for decor will be the colors and theme you choose.

Quick tip: Take a moment to create a Pinterest board with a compilation of your likes and dislikes to share with each other, your wedding planner and your decorator/florist.

talk. ask. take the quiz.

  1. Both of you should talk about these items before meeting with a decorator:
    • What is your style? (each of you should take style quiz below)
    • What are your priorities? (examples: party atmosphere, dancing, formal dinner, intimate setting)
    • What will be the main focal point? (the color, the tables, the dance floor, the bar, family, wedding party)

Important. Your answers will guide the decisions on how your room is setup, how your guests engage throughout the evening, and how well everything is executed.

2. Asking the right questions will lead you to the right team.

3.  Take our Wedding Style Quiz

    • Do you want your wedding to exude Romance? Or, maybe you’re more of a Modern power couple?
    • Find out by taking our 2 minute quiz to define your wedding style!
    • Everyone has a signature style. But, why not break the mold of yet another cookie cutter desi wedding?
    • Then, use your newly defined style to improve your discussions with your decorator and florist.
