Week 16 | 7-9 months prior to wedding day

Hello Beautiful!

Let’s talk outfits for the boys and guest room blocks?  Maybe these next two topics don’t correlate, but they do need to be handled at about the same time…like now 🙂

KURTA + ACCESSORIES

Let’s begin.

Way back when, we talked about the girls’ outfits.

Now, it’s the boys turn.

For the groomsmen, think Kurta Pajamas.  They come in standard sizes and are easy to pick up either online or on your shopping excursion locally or through India.

To customize the look, you can find scarves to match your wedding colors.

ROOM BLOCKS FOR GUESTS

Reserving a block of rooms for your out -of-town guests is a must.  If you haven’t yet, now is the time to do so before invitations go out.

If your wedding is at a hotel, the ideal scenario is to have your guests stay on the same property.

If you want to offer alternate options, check for nearby hotels that offer shuttles to your wedding hotel and request pricing.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Room count – go through your guest list and mark those who you think will need a hotel room
  • Reserving – call your catering manager or nearby hotels and reserve a block for 60% of the count that you came up with
  • Contract – when you create a room block you will likely sign a contract, which makes you financially responsible for those rooms.
  • Be sure to mark the release date on your calendar to release any un-booked rooms

ACTION ITEMS

  • Reserve blocks of rooms for guests (8 months before)
  • Once you have a hotel locked in, add the information to your wedding website and your invitations
  • Find the outfit for the groomsmen, order a minimum of 4 months prior to the wedding.
