Hello Beautiful!

Our desi weddings come with tons of details including accessories and gifts galore!

Shopping in India is definitely going to give you a lot of bang for your buck, so if you can make a trip out there – plan for it!  If you can’t, thank God everything you need or want can be found online 🙂

Let’s first talk accessories for you, when you’re in your manthrakodi, and for your bridesmaids:

  1. Think jewelry – earrings, tikka, necklaces, bangles, etc.
  2. Purse
  3. Shoes
  4. Jacket or wrap, if your wedding is planned for cooler weather

Next, for what can be a very lengthy process,  gifts for the family.

A few shopping tips:

  1. Start with making a list of the recipients
  2. Keep the list to grandparents, parents, siblings and cousins, if needed
  3. To keep it simple – a sari is the easiest for most of the women on your list, and consider a nice shirt for the guys
  4.  Remember, that it can get overwhelming if you try to wing this!
