Week 17 | 7-9 months prior to wedding day
Hello Beautiful!
Our desi weddings come with tons of details including accessories and gifts galore!
Shopping in India is definitely going to give you a lot of bang for your buck, so if you can make a trip out there – plan for it! If you can’t, thank God everything you need or want can be found online 🙂
Let’s first talk accessories for you, when you’re in your manthrakodi, and for your bridesmaids:
- Think jewelry – earrings, tikka, necklaces, bangles, etc.
- Purse
- Shoes
- Jacket or wrap, if your wedding is planned for cooler weather
Next, for what can be a very lengthy process, gifts for the family.
A few shopping tips:
- Start with making a list of the recipients
- Keep the list to grandparents, parents, siblings and cousins, if needed
- To keep it simple – a sari is the easiest for most of the women on your list, and consider a nice shirt for the guys
- Remember, that it can get overwhelming if you try to wing this!
ACTION ITEMS
- Create a list of family members who will receive gifts
