Week 18 | 7-9 months prior to wedding day

Hello Beautiful!

Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel?!

We can!! You are almost done securing all of your wedding professionals and that really is cause for celebration!

How about planning that date night for this week? No, really, you guys NEED to get out of the house and do something fun where you don’t talk about the wedding.

Remember what it was like to just lean into each other and have a good laugh? Let’s get back to that ASAP! (Tag us in a pic)

BARAAT

Fellas, there is only one thing completely dedicated to you on wedding day and that is the baraat!

You want to have an awesome procession with your family and friends and we want that for you too!

So, let’s get you to think about a few things:
1. Do you want to ride in on an animal (elephant, horse, or other) OR do you want to ride in on a vehicle (vintage car, exotic car, bike, etc.)?

2. You likely want to have some music – would you prefer a mobile baraat (a truck with a sound system that leads the procession), or a dhol player that is in the middle of the procession? Why not both?!

3. Lastly, are there any elements of surprise or fun that you would like to incorporate such as dance performers, confetti, colors, or other?

DesiWeds Inisght:
One important recommendation is that you get matching stohls (scarves) or turbans for the guys in the family.  It’s a great way to coordinate your entire entourage!  It also helps the photographer distinguish guests from wedding party and family.
