Week 20 | 6 months prior to wedding day

Hello Beautiful!

It’s time for two more big decisions.  Finding the right décor team is about design AND execution.

My hope is that you have met with décor companies and tasted food so that you are comfortable making some big decisions.

For your décor team, before signing on the dotted line and giving a deposit, please make sure you see a full invoice/proposal/quote. There are things like labor fees, delivery fees, accommodations, etc. that you need to know about before you commit because these things can add up quickly.

For the catering company, make sure you understand if the price includes staff to set up and replenish the food as necessary.  Are there additional fees for a chef onsite or chafing dishes?  Be aware of all the costs because making a final commitment.

Please note that a few dollars here or there is not the point, it’s about having eyes wide open and being fully aware to avoid surprises on the week or day of the wedding.  Making a decision like this based purely on who is less expensive is not the point.  Genuinely, there is a comfort factor and belief that a wedding professional will do what they say they will, which leads you to less stress on wedding day!
