MUSIC SELECTIONS

Hello Beautiful!

For a Christian wedding, there are several pieces of music you will need to decide upon.  Download our Song Selections Template to fill out your music choices then give to your church musician, DJ or band.

For the ceremony, you will primarily need to consider music for the processional and recessional.  If you are hosting your wedding in a traditional church, consider using the classics (Pachelbel, Mendelssohn, Bach, etc) rather than contemporary songs. Most Catholic churches require that you go the traditional route. Don’t fret, you will have plenty of time to play your favorite contemporary songs at the reception!

While the wedding is all about you and your fiancé, consider your guests.  Play a variety of music that everyone will enjoy – this ranges from your grandparents to your favorite niece who will be in attendance!

For specific moments, like your cake cutting, first dance, etc., select songs that have a special place in your heart – the guests can see it on your faces when those songs are played!
