Week 9 | 10-12 months prior to wedding day

Hello Beautiful!

Are you ready to bring this party to life?  You’ve come so far and have made some big decisions on vendors for your wedding and reception. Yay…Virtual fist bump!!

Next on the planning checklist is Selecting a DJ.

things to consider

What better way to express yourselves than with music and dance?!

Did you know that selecting a DJ is on the Top 3 List of Priorities for couples?

The music will absolutely win over your crowd. If someone was grumpy about the weather, or complained about not getting enough appetizers, you’ll for sure win them back with an amazing party.

You want them dancing until their shoes come off, speeches that can be heard by everyone in the room, and never-ending beats that bring back many memories.

The DJ or musicians you hire must “get” you. They need to vibe with both of you and understand your crowd.

Things to Consider When Deciding on Musicians:

  • Church ceremony music
    • Will you need to hire a choir or cantor?
    • Do you want strings for procession/recession?
  • Reception music
    • Will you need a Dohl player for re-entrance and for dancing?
    • Do you want live musicians for part or all of your event vs. DJ the entire evening?
    • What music, if any, do you want to play during cocktail hour?
  • Book your DJ and other musicians at minimum 6 months before your wedding date, or 9 months out if you’re on pace with our emails
